San Francisco’s oldest Orthodox synagogue is being transformed into a contemporary and vibrant place to celebrate life’s most important events. Chevra has provided generations of Jews from all walks of life a welcoming and joyful atmosphere to worship and celebrate, and our new facilities make it an even more desirable location for weddings, life cycle events, educational and business gatherings.

Chevra’s sanctuary, social hall, meeting spaces and classrooms provide a warm and welcoming environment for large events or small gatherings. The new design at Chevra Thilim is open and airy with open light and high ceilings.

Our social hall will bring grace and style to your events. The main social hall seats up to 240 people, and we also offer a smaller more intimate space for meals and classes that seats up to 40 people. Our rooftop deck is the perfect location for a small cocktail reception or outdoor Chupa. Depending upon your event, we can suggest a flow of various spaces within our facility.

Our modern, state of the art kosher catering kitchen is designed for functionality and adherence to proper food preparation, ensuring a successful event.

Our professional event staff is dedicated to working with you from start to finish, ensuring an exceptional experience for you and your guests. We are committed to helping you through each step of planning, including on-site coordination the day of your event.
