Yizkor is recited on the second day of the holiday (this year on Thursday, April 9). There is something unique about memorializing the souls of our departed loved ones within the holy walls of the Shul, with the Torah scrolls bearing witness to our love, loyalty, gratitude and continuity.

We must each try to utilize that auspicious time of the holiday to reflect upon the memories and legacies of our loved ones.
